University Federal Credit Union Executive Named Education Credit Union Council President

Austin, TEXAS — April 23, 2007 — Tony C. Budet, President and Chief Executive Officer of University Federal Credit Union (UFCU), Austin, TX, has been named President of the Education Credit Union Council (ECUC). Budet has served on the ECUC board for four years and will lead the organization in its mission to provide educational and collaborative opportunities to credit unions serving educational communities.

Budet holds a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. UFCU has 350 employees, operates 13 proprietary facilities in Austin and Galveston and is the largest locally-owned financial institution in Central Texas.
