Central Texas Flood Relief

Providing for the well-being of our members includes helping our neighbors in their times of need. The recent floods in Central Texas have affected many in our community; individuals and families who now find themselves in need of support and assistance.

Response from UFCU and the Credit Union Industry

To assist with these relief efforts, UFCU will be making a $10,000 donation to the American Red Cross of Central Texas.

In addition, the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation is providing support directly to credit union staff who have suffered loss or financial hardship as a result of this natural disaster.

How You Can Help

Donate Items

In partnership with our partner group the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, UFCU is working with the Hays County Food Bank and the Capital Area Food Bank to collect items for those affected.

The food banks are most in need of the following items:

  • Gift cards for food, clothes, and general materials
  • Paper goods and products (paper towels, paper plates and cups, napkins, etc.) and small toiletry items
  • High-protein canned meals with pop-top cans (ravioli, soups, spaghetti, tuna, salmon, chicken, beans, chili)
  • Single serving ready-to-eat meals that do not require refrigeration or cooking
  • Single serving snacks such as raisins, granola bars, and nuts
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned fruits and vegetables

Collected items can be dropped off at the locations below. In addition, UFCU will also be collecting these items at the UFCU Plaza Visitor’s Center.
