Can my Simply U™ Account purchases be declined?
Most merchants ask us to authorize your purchase. When we give authorization to a merchant, we will hold funds on your Simply U™ Account, generally for up to 2 business days, to pay for your purchase. For gas station purchases, up to $100 may be temporarily reserved when you use your debit card to pay at the pump dependent on the merchant. To avoid a declined purchase or incurring a hold greater than your actual purchase, pay for gas purchases at the cashier.
