Step Up to Increase Your Rate

Step-Up Certificates allow members to take advantage of interest rate growth with the opportunity to increase their rate once during the certificate term.

Here’s how it works:

  • The Step-Up Certificate is available in a 24-month term, with an initial rate lower than that of the UFCU traditional 24-month certificate
  • If the UFCU traditional 24-month certificate rate rises at any time during the term, the step-up option may be activated to increase to that rate
  • The step-up option may only be used once during the 24-month term
  • A deposit of any amount may be added at the time of the rate increase
  • Step-Up Certificates cannot be used as security for a loan
