UFCU Provides a Central Place for Student Financial Services

UFCU proudly partners with the University of Texas at Austin^™ to help students along their academic and financial journey. How? By removing barriers so students can succeed in school and their future careers.

At the Texas One Stop for Student Services, University of Texas students can take care of several vital needs, including financial aid and counseling, class registration, tuition payments, and more. UFCU supported the creation of this space, which centralizes critical services that were previously located all over campus. Although the UFCU Lounge in the Texas One Stop opened almost two years ago and has served more than 50,000 students thus far, the global pandemic made it difficult to celebrate the momentous occasion.

UFCU executives, board members, and staff joined UT leaders and campus community members cut a ribbon on June 14, 2022 to recognize the official opening of this critical student resource inside the UT Tower. This new campus destination tees up students’ success from their first day on campus through graduation and beyond. As students connect in the UFCU Lounge, UFCU employees and leaders experience great joy in serving them throughout their Longhorn journey.

UFCU President Michael Crowl reminded attendees of the enduring partnership: “Our history has been weaved together with UT’s since our founding 86 years ago. It started with a dream of ‘people helping people.’ This legacy continues today as we celebrate the official grand opening of the Texas One Stop, where UT and UFCU have once again come together to create something special — a place where student success is the mission.”

The $1 million investment in the One Stop is a tangible way for UT Austin students and families to connect their education with UFCU’s commitment to serving as a trusted partner on their journey.
