UFCU Names Joe Gonzalez Associate VP of Consumer Lending & Lending Innovation

Austin, TEXAS, August 17, 2022 — UFCU, Austin’s largest locally owned financial institution, has named Joe Gonzalez to the newly created position of associate vice president of consumer lending & lending innovation. In his new role, Gonzalez will lead UFCU’s efforts to drive continued innovation in lending.

A 17-year veteran of UFCU, Gonzalez has served in every area of UFCU consumer and business lending. He began his career at UFCU in 2005 as a mortgage services coordinator. He held positions of increasing responsibility, including as manager of both mortgage services and consumer lending sales. Since 2019, Gonzalez has been the director of consumer lending where he co-led a multi-year digital transformation of the Member-owned credit union’s consumer lending member experience and operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Texas A&M University.
