UFCU Names Janice Matthews Associate VP of Retail & Lending Experience

Austin, TEXAS, August 17, 2022 — UFCU, Austin’s largest locally owned financial institution, has named Janice Matthews associate vice president of retail & lending experience, a new position for the 85-year-old not-for-profit cooperative. In her new role, Matthews will focus on optimizing UFCU’s retail and lending operations to ensure an exceptional Member experience.

Most recently, as director of retail experience, Matthews applied her extensive understanding of Member needs, delivering exceptional experiences, and building strong operations to create and lead the retail experience team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in child development and family relationships from The University of Texas.

“Janice is a humble, open, and collaborative leader with a deep commitment to excellence, consistency, continuous learning, and Member growth. Both Members and co-workers regularly share the transformative impact she has had in their lives,” said UFCU Executive Vice President of Member Experience Chris Turnley. “With her rich understanding of our Members, services, and channels, combined with a heart for employee development, Janice is a strong addition to our executive team.”
