UFCU Names Chris Turnley Vice President — Retail

Austin, TEXAS, April 30, 2019 – University Federal Credit Union® (UFCU), Austin’s largest locally owned financial institution, has named Chris Turnley vice president — retail. In this role, Turnley will lead UFCU financial center teams to deliver an exceptional Member experience by executing on the organization’s overarching mission to connect in meaningful ways with Members, and empower them to achieve financial health.

Chris is a strong leader, mentor, and team builder. He is passionate about seeing people reach their full potential and establishing a winning internal culture. A seasoned technology and sales executive with more than 20 years of experience, Turnley has a successful track record of driving growth and fostering sustainable relationships. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer of Chipper. Previous to this, Chris held senior leadership roles at DOSH, WP Engine, and Iron Mountain.

He also has served as an advisor for a number of nonprofits and start-ups. Turnley serves as chairman for the Austin Bridge Builders Alliance, working to build partnerships that break down barriers and impact communities for the greater good. He also has volunteered with Missions.ME, a nonprofit organization that supports mission trips and other humanitarian causes around the world. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.
