It's always been easy to work with UFCU. We got our kids their own checking accounts with UFCU, and they have their own debit cards. It's nice that we can go on the website and log into Online Banking and see our accounts connected in one place, and they're learning about banking and their finances at the same time. We want them to understand that when they're using their debit card, they're using real money. It's just something they have to learn over time.
When you're dealing with any vendor, you want to be as aligned with them as possible. For instance, with your health insurance company, you typically may not be aligned because the more they can deny your claims, the more profit they can make. And with a credit union, it never feels that way. You walk in and it doesn't feel like a traditional bank. People are out from behind the counter and making people feel comfortable. Every time we walk in, we feel this way.”
