—Soccer isn’t just a hobby for Matt. It’s a labor of love.
Check the background of this investment professional on FINRA’s BrokerCheck.
In first grade, Matt’s parents signed him up for a youth Soccer team and it has been a passion of his ever since. While he admits he most likely will not be the next soccer superstar, he still likes to imagine accepting a seven- or eight-figure contract playing for his favorite team, Tottenham. Until he receives that magical phone call however, he’ll be focusing on the numbers for his clients.
At UFCU, Matt is an associate financial advisor, available through CFS.* He works with our Members to help them create better financial outcomes for their families and themselves. He prides himself on being able to pick out the blind spots in a plan and bring new opportunities to the table when the time is right. A social animal and avid storyteller, Matt is a favorite around the office and among clients.
Matt is a native Austinite but has spent a good amount of time living and working overseas. He serves on the board of ATX United, a local soccer foundation in the Austin area, and regularly volunteers for the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce and Young Men’s Business League of Austin. Outside of work, he enjoys playing sports, traveling, and trying out new restaurants.
What was your favorite toy growing up? “Stretch Armstrong action figure. The arms and legs would stretch (hence the name), which is pretty much the coolest thing on the planet when you’re six years old.”
What chore do you despise doing? “Folding clothes. It’s dull and thankless work.”
What is your favorite quote or saying?
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” — Oscar Wilde
