UFCU “Cash for College” Sweepstakes Official Rules

1. No Purchase Necessary to Enter and Win. Persons age 18 and older and who have a valid social security number are eligible to participate in the UFCU “Cash for College Sweepstakes” (“Sweepstakes”) from March 1, 2024 through September 2, 2024.
2. Subject to the limitations contained herein, eligible persons may enter the Sweepstakes from March 1, 2024 7:00 AM Central Time (“CT”) through September 2, 2024, 6:00 PM CT through any of the following methods:
   • Automatic Entry. Eligible persons who open a UFCU checking account during weeks noted in Paragraph 4, below, will be automatically entered.
   • To enter by mail, submit an original handwritten 3” x 5” card without charge or obligation with your name, mailing address, email address, phone, age, and member account number, if applicable (all information must be included to be considered a valid entry), to “Cash for College”, Attn: Relationship Management, PO Box 9350, Austin, Texas 78766-9350.
3. Entries are subject to the following qualifications, unless otherwise indicated above:
   • Sweepstakes is limited to students enrolled in the Summer 2024 or Fall 2024 semesters at University of Texas at Austin (“University of Texas”), Texas State University (“Texas State”), St. Edward’s University (”St. Edward’s”), Huston-Tillotson University (“Huston-Tillotson”), Concordia University (“Concordia”), andAustin Community College (“ACC”) (collectively “Qualifying Universities”) who open a UFCU checking account the respective Summer 2024 Orientation (during the dates mentioned in paragraphs 1 and 2 above) of each university.
   • In order to correctly identify eligible persons, to be automatically entered “University of Texas,” “Texas State,” “St. Edwards,” “Huston-Tillotson,” “Concordia,” and “ACC” must be selected as the qualifying field of membership. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in Paragraph 4, below, winners will be asked for a corresponding student ID or other proof of enrollment when claiming a prize.
   • Entries submitted by mail are limited to one per person and must be received by the dates listed below by 11:00 AM CT to be eligible. UFCU assumes no responsibility for lost, late, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, illegible, or postage-due mail entries.
4. Need not be present to win. Drawings will be held on the drawing dates indicated below at UFCU’s Administrative Offices located at UFCU Plaza, 8303 N MoPac Expressway Austin, TX 78759. Entries are not cumulative and are valid for one drawing only. Winner must have a valid Social Security number and photo identification must be provided.
5. Winner will be notified via phone or email on or about the corresponding drawing date reflected below.  To claim the prize, winner must respond to phone or email notification within two (2) calendar days or the prize will be forfeited.  In the event the winner is unable to be contacted or the winner’s timely response is not received, UFCU reserves the right to choose an alternate winner by random drawing from all remaining eligible entries no more than three (3) calendar days after UFCU becomes aware of the forfeiture.  All decisions are final and are at UFCU's sole discretion. Each prize (retail value not to exceed $1000.00) will be awarded by random drawing of all eligible entries.  Prizes will be deposited into each winning entrant’s UFCU account.

6. By participating the participants individually agree to hold UFCU and its directors, officers, and employees harmless against any and all claims and liabilities arising out of any injury or damage that may be caused or claimed to be caused out of participating in the Sweepstakes and, if applicable, the acceptance or use of the prize.
7. All state and federal taxes are the sole responsibility of each winner.
8. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
9. By accepting a prize, the winner(s) consent(s) to disclosure of his/her/their name(s) and agree to grant UFCU the right to use his/her/their name(s) for promotional purposes without further compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
10. The following individuals are not eligible to enter or win the Sweepstakes: officers, directors, independent contractors and employees of UFCU, and all of their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, in-laws and/or the household members of each). The Sweepstakes is intended solely for viewing and participation in the United States and must be construed and evaluated solely under federal, state and local laws.
11. By submitting an entry, you accept and agree to be bound by these Sweepstakes rules. Any violation of these rules will result in disqualification. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
