About

Community Involvement

Focus on Financial Health

As a not-for-profit cooperative, we exist to promote the well-being and prosperity of our Members and our community. That’s why — in addition to the products and services we offer our Members — we support efforts that help create education, employment, and housing opportunities in our community. We believe these three impact areas form the foundation of financial health.

In this way, we work alongside organizations whose missions align with ours through strategic partnerships and sponsorships, as well as through employee volunteering and giving.

Extending our mission to the community

In addition to the investment of our resources, we empower our employees to actively engage in the community. The UFCU DO GOOD program organizes thousands of hours in volunteering opportunities every year.

“The DO GOOD program empowers our employees to make a difference in the lives of the community beyond our Members,” said Heather McKissick, EVP Community Impact, Communications & Marketing. “Whether we’re supporting people in affordable housing, helping students complete their degrees, or helping people get better jobs, our volunteers understand deeply how these factors are foundational to financial health.”

Thanks to our employees who make an impact in our community by participating in our DO GOOD program.
